Humanekind documentation includes snark, criticism, and, frankly, very strong language, to levels never before seen in the history of technical documentation
. this is by design
. i believe it very important to be honest about one’s personal code, including political positions
. politics is inseparable from science or any aspect of human life

we live in challenging times, where individuals are keen on destroying the work that billions of people and trillions of organisms have embarked across the history of humanity and the world
. those people must be called out for who they are and the threat to humanity that they represent
. if such language triggers some, good, that means it’s working
. if such expressions solidarity with the oppressed and disdain for the motherfucking oppressors puts some off, awesome, i want nothing to do with them anyway
. seriously, i could never, ever have a conversation with someone who thinks that women’s place is solely in the home, the kitchen, and on the bed
. those people make me sick
. my ambition is not to "convert" anyone
. my goal is to help everyone learn about others, realize that some people in this world enjoy bringing pain to others, some, even, love raping and torturing little girls

Dr. Caroline Orr Bueno and Rick Wilson do a great job (in 30 minutes) explaining why people need Humanekind, from the algorithms profit-obsessed corporations use to highlight and glorify our basest instincts to the fact that a child rapist and his crew are tailoring those algorithms to peddle their hateful, divisive, racist, misogynist, propaganda more effectively

those corporations can keep their billion-dollar server farms with fiber interconnects that can compute whatever, very fast, while using googol watts of power

we human beings have very capable smartphones, tablets, and laptops that we can use to compute our digital lives for ourselves
